Conventional wisdom says that a company and its customers can expect to pay a premium for products that
benefit the environment or that outperform others on the market. Only rarely can innovation result in a product that does both while remaining cost-effective.
Since our early days, Insituform has manufactured its CIPP tube from virgin polyester fibers from U.S. suppliers. In our ongoing pursuit of industrial and operational excellence, we made a discovery. Tubes made from 98% recycled plastic fiber actually outperformed our traditional tube.
These "green" tubes are more compatible with the resins we fuse with them, and our crews find the tubes give them better control in the field, allowing us to better enable Clean water for the world.
