Insituform Technologies, Inc. and SAK Companies Dismiss Lawsuits
CHESTERFIELD, Mo., – (BUSINESS WIRE) – June 5, 2007 – Insituform Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq Global Select Market: INSU) announced today that Insituform, three former executives and the SAK construction companies have agreed to dismiss their lawsuits against one another. Neither side will admit liability nor pay damages, and the litigants will bear their own legal expenses. Insituform’s lawsuit, filed in April 2006, mainly involved alleged violations of employment and non-compete agreements.
The issues in the case primarily involved the tunneling business and Insituform’s Affholder, Inc. tunneling subsidiary.
“In light of our recently-announced decision to exit the tunneling business, there was very little benefit to Insituform in pursuing its lawsuit compared to the expense and management time required for the litigation,” said David F. Morris, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Insituform.
Insituform Technologies, Inc. is a leading worldwide provider of proprietary technologies and services for rehabilitating sewer, water and other underground piping systems without digging and disruption. More information about Insituform can be found on its Internet site at www.insituform.com.
