Insituform Awarded US$6.0 Million in Additional Work in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

CHESTERFIELD, MO,
January 23, 2009 – Insituform Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq Global Select Market: INSU) today announced that it was awarded an additional US$6.0 million in sewer pipe rehabilitation work for the City of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.  This work was work awarded under the Company’s current three-year term contract with the City of Hamilton, which is in its second year.  Insituform expects to perform approximately 90,000 feet of small- and medium- diameter sanitary sewer lining under this contract award. Work on the project is currently underway and should be completed within twelve months.

“We are excited to continue our work for the City of Hamilton and assist them in their commitment to maintaining their sewer infrastructure. This is our third three year contract with the City and our eighth consecutive year of providing our cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) sewer lining services for the City,” said Ken Foster, Insituform’s Vice President for Canada.
