Insituform Facilities Receive EPA Recognition
The EPA has presented Insituform with plaques in recognition of the health and environmental stewardship at its Kapolei, Hawaii and Indianapolis, Indiana wet out facilities. The facilities received the recognition for implementing the use of the more environmentally-friendly Acrastrip® in place of acetone as a cleaning solution.
Acrastrip® was formulated in partnership with the United States' EPA's "Design for the Environment" division. Acrastrip® is a hazardous air pollutant (HAP) free, non-flammable cleaning fluid with significant workplace health and environmental benefits. Acrastrip® serves as a replacement to acetone, cleaning parts and equipment used during wet out.
